Speedo – How to insert the Instrument Converter Card from KMS to MPH

The Nissan Figaro was designed for the Japanese Domestic Market and as such, all the speedometers manufactured for the vehicle displayed KMS only. As the vehicle has a cult following and more and more are exported from Japan around the world, the need for an MPH speedometer becomes a necessity.

The Figaro Shop has developed a facia cover that simply screws over the original KMS dial face to display accurate MPH. The facia cover is an easy part to fit and will not affect the trip counter of the vehicle meaning that you are still able to see how many km the vehicle has travelled whilst displaying the speed in MPH. A great, affordable and reliable solution.

How to fit

  1. Remove the bezel by inserting a small flat-bladed screwdriver and levering off, be careful not to mark the dash
  2. Remove the two cream screws.
  3. Carefully move and hold the needle to the other side allowing you to place the card over the pin that the needles sit on.
  4. Re-insert the two small screws. This is the fiddliest bit as they do not always align with the hole in the card. You may have to make a very small slit at the bottom of one hole ( usually the right one). This allows you to very slightly move the right side upwards so that the window lines up.
  5. Make sure that the needle isn’t bent enough to contact the dial. They very often bend out a bit and it stops the needle from moving.
