Nissan Figaro Colours – Body Shell Paint Codes

The Nissan Figaro was produced in four main body colours, which are referred to as Original Colours; Emerald Green, Pale Aqua, Topaz Mist and Lapis Grey. To provide a level of individuality, many owners have resprayed the car, referred to as Custom Colours. Pink is the most popular, alongside red, yellow, purple and black… but the car looks stunning in just about any colour! Find out more about background to the Nissan Figaro Original Car Colours.

CHECKING YOUR CAR COLOUR
You can find the colour code stamped into the VIN plate, which is attached to the bulkhead. It is important to note that this isn’t the paint code for the car and will be meaningless to many body shops repairing Figaros!! An Emerald Figaro will be coded 6K8, but this simply means that this is a two-tone car in emerald/white. You also find out more about the car in the club’s Production Database.

The corresponding paint code – meaningful to body shops, etc, is shown in the table below, so the paint code for Emerald is JK2.

BODY COLOUR Nissan Composite Code Actual Paint Code
EMERALD GREEN 6K8 JK2
PALE AQUA 6K9 DH5
TOPAZ MIST 7K1 EH0

After years of weathering, the colour of your Figaro will have changed – Lapis cars, for example, can vary from a slate grey to almost purple colour. A good body shop will blend new paintwork so that the demarcation between old and new isn’t obvious.

If you aren’t getting the full car re-sprayed we recommend going to a paint shop and getting an exact match to your current paint colour to avoid the car looking like a patchwork of colours. Take the petrol filler door in with you to get a colour match.

For touching up with paint pens, aerosols or base coats, it is best to have the paint computer colour matched to the actual car. We wouldn’t recommend using an off the shelf matching paint unless it’s somewhere not obvious on the car.

Many Figaros have been custom painted so if you own such a vehicle – keep a note of the paint code.  This will make life a lot easier if the car needs to be repaired or resprayed in future, although for touch ups this paintwork will fade too, so you are best to get a colour match.
