Welcome to another BUMPER eNewsletter, out a few days early 🙂
Firstly, can we kick off with a huge thanks to everyone who submitted pictures for our forthcoming Nissan Figaro 2022 Wall Calendar. This year we have had record submissions so the very best of luck!
Last Monday saw more misery for our London based members as the extension of the ULEZ scheme kicked in. The increased costs of driving a Figaro (see below) has become crippling for many members who have been forced to sell their cars. The topic has been covered extensively on our website and the bad news is we cannot see a low-cost solution due to the high cost and economy of scale (sharing the cost) of getting the required certification. Having read some Facebook threads, we also warn members to be careful not to part with money to buy certificates on the promise that this will be accepted as valid documentation. Our position still remains that the car will require extensive testing by an official and approved test station (not a garage) to gain type certification at a cost of between 20-30k. Read full story
