Helmingham Festival of Classic & Sports Cars – 3rd August 2025
Words and Pictures by Eastern Group Coordinator Adam Woods
Helmingham Festival of Classic and Sports Cars in Suffolk is a fantastic annual event that the club has attended a few times over the years. It is particularly popular with car clubs, such that this year spaces went in no time at all, meaning that we were only able to bring 8 cars for this year’s event.

As usual, we all met a couple of miles away at a service next to the A14, and having caught up with Figgy friends old and new, we set off across country, winding through country roads to the hall where over 1,000 cars would be on show, feasted upon by over 8,000 attendees. Supported by Suffolk Vehicle Enthusiasts Club, the event raises money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

The event is always so friendly, with a broad mix of ages and interests. The Figs are always popular, and this year was no exception, with lots of visitors to the Figaro Owners Club stand. What is also particularly nice about this event is that there’s plenty to do, with a broad range of outlets selling items, lots of food options, the gardens, and, of course, lots of cars to look at.
The promised rain only made a very brief appearance, making for a really lovely day where members, prospective owners and fans were able to chat about our favourite cars in beautiful surroundings.
