Didsbury & South Manchester Car Show – 13th July 2025
Words and Pictures by Jane Harrop, North West Chapter Coordinator
Didsbury and South Manchester Classic Car Show certainly proved to be a very popular event again this year. So much so that the space soon filled up, and two out of the six Figaros on display had to park together on a different field. Initially, it was a bit of a disappointment, as I was one of them, but being positioned near some trees, we soon realised that we had the advantage of some shade from the very hot sunshine.

As usual, our special little cars attracted a lot of interest, and some visitors who had already seen the four Figs together were delighted to come across another two Figs on their travels around the park. There was a marvellous array of vehicles on display from pre-war to modern classics, military, some commercial and some great big vintage American cars. Most definitely something for everyone.
The show was free for everyone to attend, and there were plenty of buckets for donations to Manchester Blood Bikes and the Air Ambulance, and I’m sure both charities must have done very well, as there was a huge number of visitors.
It was great to meet up again with the Figgy friends made last year at the show and to also make some new ones. The consensus was that we would meet up again in 2026, but arrive very early so that we can all hopefully park together next time!
