Then we’ll begin with this IKEA/FIGARO chair! Created by member Ian Mckeen who searched online auction sites and managed to pick up a sorry-looking passenger seat for a small sum and a couple of old Ikea bent wooden chairs! Ian stripped all 3 chairs down, re-coloured and polished the Figaro seat, sanded, polished and made a frame from the other 2 chairs and then bolted them all together.

He now uses the chair in his conservatory, which he might add still has the ability to recline. His wife Jill has now requested Ian find a driver’s and rear seat to compliment. Ian says it’s one of the most comfortable recliners he’s sat in and looking at my next project with the Figgy.
