Consultation on Emissions Regulation – GB

We have now reviewed the consultation that is currently live on the UK government website about regulation of emissions, with a deadline for responses by 6th September 2026. Whether this consultation directly impacts the Nissan Figaro is unclear as the consultation references vehicles “in-use” in Great Britain from 2001, and as we know the Nissan Figaro was manufactured in 1991. However, whether the Figaro is currently in scope or not, we would always wish to look at any consultation as the extent of cars affected could change in the future.

As there is already regulation in place to test emissions at the time of a car’s MOT, it seems unnecessary to replicate something that is already being tested, however there are other tests that the consultation is addressing.
