Feedback Survey 2026 – The Feedback
Earlier in the year we released a feedback survey so we could hear from members about what they thought about the club.
We shared the results of the 2026 Feedback Survey a few weeks ago, and can now share some the queries raised and the club’s responses.
With topics ranging from how the committee is set up, to events, parts, and future technology we’re ever so grateful to everyone who sent a question in!
| Query | Response |
|---|---|
| A gallery where members can share ideas such as photos of their cars at local shows, work they have done or how they decorate the interior of their cars. | Love this! We have a few pages in the “Lifestyle” section on the website for these things, including Why I LOVE my Figaro, Member Stories and Member Upgrades.
Just get in touch on the website using the Contact page to add your ideas! |
| A series of videos about different members or businesses with tips on how to keep our Figaros in tip-top condition. Guides on how to cut out and fix rust and expand knowledge from the masters. | Committee Members have started doing some video tutorials, adding to the many that Kevin created over the years!
There’s also the “Fighting Rust Series” rust including some helpful videos. There’s also quite a lot in the cleaning section on the website but we’ll look to see if there’s any gaps. As far as businesses are concerned, we are building up more information on the club’s Trusted Partners – find out more here. |
| More information on new innovations, research and development or technical improvements that help keep the cars on the road. | Absolutely – part of the recently re-launched Trusted Partner Programme is to ask club partners to keep the club up-to-date on developments.
We’ll be sharing news of some new developments over the coming months. |
| Establish a register of Figaro familiar repairers by region. | This is already in place with the member recommended Vehicle Services Directory – however this is only as strong as members recommending businesses.
So, if you have a trusted business you would recommend, please register them. |
| Find a satisfactory specialist who can support the Clarion radios. | We have engaged with a number of businesses now, but they haven’t been willing to commit to the support required for the radio. We are continuing to search. |
| Is there a network of members who can be contacted if we run into an issue? | Absolutely – this is one of the main purposes behind the club’s Ownership Support and Technical Forum. The forum has over 3,600 threads about Technical topics, and a “Help me” section where members are ready to provide their guidance. |
| Bring back the annual calendar! | We loved the Club Calendar too, so we’re on it! We are just looking for a cost effective way to produce these and distribute them out to those who wish to buy one… along with other club merchandise too! |
| A club badge / sticker or lanyard to wear at events to promote the group. | This is a lovely idea. Hand in hand with looking at bringing back the annual calendar, we are looking at ways to produce club merchandise so will add this to the list! |
| How is the club’s charity chosen? | The club’s main charity over many years has been Young Lives vs Cancer, alongside a number of other charities the club has supported – find out about the club’s charity fund raising.
At the recent Ireland Rally we fund raised for a local charity. We’re looking at charities moving forward and opportunities to do more for to fund raise. |
| We want more activity in the United States, perhaps by having coordinators in different regions, and by providing a list of service and parts suppliers that are available?
How about arranging an event involving Route 66? |
We have done quite a lot to restructure the Membership MoJo database to accommodate this, and are now actively looking for coordinators in different regions (sorry if you have expressed interest, we will be back to you soon!) If you are interested please get in touch!
And a line of Figs on Route 66 sounds fab! We have also asked members in the US to share knowledge of what businesses they have bought from. If you know of a business please get them registered on the Vehicle Services Directory. |
| Members outside of the UK can struggle with parts availability, and the discounts sometimes don’t cover the difference in cost. | We appreciate that parts can be costly, but with more discounts now available from UK businesses in the Membership Portal in the Discount Codes section this may help. A discount is better than no discount. We recommend that if you are purchasing multiple items that you contact the business with the whole order as shipping will be a lot cheaper packaged together.
We are also engaging with our Community Coordinators overseas to see how we can help improve things for members outside of the UK. |
| Can the club look at assisting in the reproduction of spare parts which are now becoming unavailable or unaffordable. | If there was a way for this to happen, we’d love to, but as a not-for-profit car owners club run by volunteers, we need to be mindful of the liabilities that manufacturing and distributing parts can involve.
Here and now, working closely with existing businesses and securing discounts for members is the best approach. |
| Continuing to develop the ‘new’ Club approach can encourage greater engagement of members in what the Club offers. | You’re absolutely right – we have been focusing on some aspects members may not think about as much, such as the wealth of history and documentation on the website, Insurance Valuations, the Vehicle Services Directory and Charity Fundraising, while also improving the Membership Portal, including the Buyers Guide for all members, and introducing the Production Database. |
| The chapter areas are too large. Can we set these with smaller geographical areas? | We have been doing quite a lot with the membership database to improve this.
However, taking things too small would create a lot of additional complexity, so after consulting with Community Coordinators, we introduced the idea of Joint Coordinators in February so that multiple members can share a chapter area. |
| We’re very lucky to have our wonderful coordinator for Scotland, but I’d have like to see the new Committee represent the 4 countries of the UK although, l do appreciate the club is worldwide. | When we were asked to take on the club, one of the first things we did was to reach out to the club’s coordinators as they do such a huge amount to help.
Knowing that we can provide our support to them means that we can achieve the spread and reach as a committee. |
| How will Committee members be determined in the future? | The current Committee have volunteered to cover both the transitionary year with Kevin at hand until October 2026 and one year in its own right through until October 2027, at which point the Committee will be elected by members. |
| At events can we find a way to help people get to know each other? | Absolutely – we tried a few approaches to this at the Ireland Rally.
We will keep trying new approaches to help new members feel as welcome as possible. |
| How can the club help members feel more welcome irrespective of the colour or condition of their Figaro? | As confirmed in the constitution, the club is all about “being a supportive community, grounded in kindness and respect, and focused on the benefit of all members” so everyone, whether owners or fans, are 100% welcome whether they prefer the car as originally produced or as personalised by an owner (which in truth everyone does in their own way!)
The recently refreshed brochure gives equal weight to bespoke colours as original. As far as condition is concerned, every Figaro is on a restoration journey, so no car will be perfect – we are just grateful to everyone who owns one! |
| Can events be planned further out so we can make sure we are available? | We ask Community Coordinators to plan any events a minimum of 4 weeks in advance.
This is such a tricky topic as some members plan a year ahead, and others a week in advance. We can also find that if we plan too far ahead that people’s plans can be more likely to change… |
| How do I reach other members in my region? | You can use the club’s member only Facebook Groups, or reach out to your local Community Coordinator.
If there’s not a coordinator at the moment, or you fancy sharing coordinating duties, why not volunteer to help! |
| Arrange events that are not based on high costs for attendance. Arrange an annual get together. | With over 50 events taking place in 2026, we look to ensure that there is a good mix of free and paid for events, with many of the “Figgys and Chat” regional events not costing members anything at all. We ask members to support our coordinator volunteers by attending these events.
As far as events involving costs, the balance we need to take is that different members have different preferences, so we must always consider everyone. As announced just recently, we have been able to reduce the cost of the Big Birthday Bash once we knew what members wanted to attend. We are looking into arranging a minimal cost get together in the future, as long as it is supported by members attending – while it may be low cost to attend, it still requires a lot of organisation. |
| It’s hard (at least in the States) to connect with other figaro owners and chat issues or just fun topics so maybe quarterly meets / calls would be fun. | This is a fantastic idea, and already some of the community groups do this.
We will definitely put this forward as a suggestion as we build out the US Community. |
| What technology is the club considering for future engagement with members? For example how about a dedicated mobile app as a central hub for all members and a way for members to connect and collaborate globally. | The current Membership Portal provides some functionality to help members get to key information, but a more interactive platform sounds like a great idea.
We are however mindful that not all members are tech savvy, so we may be better to use existing systems members already use to connect and collaborate. As it happens this is something we have already been looking into as Facebook is not as popular as it was, but we also need to be careful of cost as a not for profit organisation. If you have some ideas about potential platforms, we’d love to hear from you. |
Should you have any other questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to get in touch as we’d love to hear from you!
