Stoppp! Extreme Figgy Spotting

Christine and Steve report in from their holiday on the Hook Peninsula in Ireland where they saw a something green and Figgy shaped pass them by…

A green Figaro parked by the side of a roadWe were staying just outside the village of Duncannon, walking along the road when we were delighted to see a gorgeous green Figgy ride past us, but we were too late to make any kind of impression on the driver… but as we got to the pub we were heading to, we spotted that same green Fig coming out of a car park, and weren’t going to let this opportunity pass us by.

A beaming driver in a Nissan FIgaroSo, I ran after the Figgy! Would it turn the wrong way? I hoped not!! Later, my husband Steve told me that he hadn’t seen me move so fast in ages!

It turned right, not left – thank goodness… and so arms waving I flagged the Figgy and occupant down… and as it got nearer, I thought, no, it can’t be!

Two delighted Figaro ownersShe rolled down her window, and I said “Are you Dolly?” – the surprise broke into a that beautiful Dolly smile… and from there we instantly started chatting all things Figgy – me explaining how I was over there, and how I had seen all the amazing photos and videos from the Ireland Rally on Facebook… and how sad we were that we couldn’t be there! We had such an amazing chat!

Dolly herself was over the moon too… although she did wonder what the arm flapping lady was flagging her down for… until she saw that glint in the eye of extreme Figgy Spotting!!
