Figgys and Chat at Salmsbury Hall – 18th May 2025
Words and Pictures by North West Chapter Coordinator Jane Harrop
To kick the day off, we managed to take some individual photos of the vehicles in front of the historic timber-framed building before parking up, where they looked magnificent in a row and sparkled in the sunshine. On arrival at the hall, one group of visitors were in raptures over them and said they had made their day.
Leaving the Figs to their admiring glances, we finally all made it to the garden room and enjoyed a coffee and a chat. Next up was a 15-mile run to our final destination, the Stag’s Head at Goosnargh. Leading the convoy was Jane & Mark in Primrose, followed by Janet, John, Jack & Archie the Dog (who loves being in Miss Pearl, especially when the roof is off!). Next up was Elizabeth & Paul in Hermione, and at the back was myself & Bob in Figgy.

We drove through some lovely villages and picturesque countryside, a favourite bit being the drive over the Ribchester bridge. We definitely put a smile on a lot of bystanders and other road users faces, who were delighted to see not one but four different coloured Figaro’s meandering down the leafy lanes.
We were warmly welcomed at the pub and decided to sit outside to make the most of the lovely weather. We all enjoyed a tasty meal served with yet more chatter.
What a brilliant day out and a great way of getting to know other members of the Nissan Figaro Owners’ Club!
The next get-together is planned for Saturday 21st June, we haven’t got a destination yet, so if you have any ideas where we could meet in the North West Region and do something similar, please let me know by the end of May.
