Insurance Agreed Valuation Certificate (Two Year) – Application

It is essential to get your car valued to guarantee that it is valued properly for insurance purposes. This will ensure you are covered should the worst happen, but could also save you money. As the Official Figaro Owners Club, we are authorised by insurance companies to provide a TWO YEAR AGREED INSURANCE VALUATION CERTIFICATE for your Nissan Figaro.

Obtaining a valuation can be time-consuming, so we have made the process as simple as possible.

BUYING A FIGARO?
If you are buying a Figaro, include a copy of the bill of sale or invoice from the seller in addition to the pictures requested (see below).

Vehicle Condition

To simplify the process of describing the condition of your vehicle, we have provided 5 options to select from on the form below:

CONCOURS
Perfectly restored or immaculately preserved in its original condition (no custom paint) with no further work necessary. This would include the engine bay that would look like it did when the car was produced. Very few cars ever reach this level.
A1 CONDITION
Genuinely excellent, in total original or restored condition and with real potential, pending slight improvements, to reach the level ‘Concours’.
GOOD CONDITION
Regular quality but without the potential to be ‘Concours’ standard. Free from any significant faults, though lacking history and/or originality.
STANDARD QUALITY
Reliable and holding a current MOT Certificate but would benefit from some attention.
DRIVEABLE
Usable but in need of major work.

Odometer Reading – IMPORTANT!

The Figaro was manufactured in Japan, where kilometres are the unit of measurement. As the car was never officially exported by Nissan (grey import) if it is driven in other countries it may require a modification to comply with local driving laws.

WHAT MODIFICATION IS REQUIRED IN THE UK?

There are two types of modifications used to ensure the car is legal to drive on UK roads:

CARD FITTED TO SPEEDO
The fitting of a small card into the Speedo dial allows the needle to display miles per hour. This is by far the cheapest and most common solution and can be achieved by purchasing the card. If you have a card fitted, it means your odometer is still in km, so insert this number into the CARD FITTED on the form below.

MPH STICKER APPLIED TO SPEEDO
If you have an MPH Sticker on your speedo, it means you have a transducer fitted. We believe this was a solution before the card above was created. The device is usually fitted by a garage as it’s more complicated to install. It works just like a bicycle gearing system, basically slowing down the rotation to make the kilometres show in miles. It means that the odometer reading is now shown as miles.

To calculate the actual odometer reading in miles, you will need to know the km reading before the transducer was fitted. You need to convert this number to miles, then add it to the reading since the fitting and insert this figure into the MPH STICKER below. Read more

The figure we provide will be for an Agreed Insurance Valuation, which means that we cannot take into consideration any sentimental value.

If you have recently purchased the vehicle, the purchase price will be the agreed value.

STEP 3 – We will review the information provided and prepare your Insurance Valuation within 7 days
STEP 4 – You make payment for your Valuation (Bank Transfer/ PayPal/ Stripe)
STEP 5 – We will issue you with the Figaro Owners Club Valuation Certificate PDF

SCAN OR TAKE PHOTOS OF THE PURCHASE INVOICE
If you have just purchased the car you must send a copy of the sales purchase showing the value.

INCLUDE RESTORATION AND UPGRADE INVOICES
If you have spent money on restoring your Figaro or bought accessories since your last valuation please include copy invoices. If this is your first valuation from the club please include all copy invoices since you purchased the car.
Note: You cannot claim for any consumable parts or any servicing costs such as an MOT or Engine service or repairs.
