Great Yarmouth Wheels Festival

Entry Criteria
Registration Required – Figaro Owners Club Members only

We have been offered a club stand at the Great Yarmouth Wheels Festival 2017 and are looking to get a few cars together so that we can show them what the Figaro is all about. Great Yarmouth Wheels Festival which brings an array of classic and contemporary vehicles to locations along the Golden Mile will also see a fully working Merlin engine from World War II for 2017.

A local charity, Centre 81 will also be taking part in the festival on Sunday with a Classic Car & Bike run starting in Cromer and finishing at the Sea Life Centre Gardens on Great Yarmouth’s Golden Mile. As part of their show, they will be presenting awards for certain categories who have taken part in the run.

Other attractions appealing to car loving “petrolheads” are:

• Lotus Carltons and other big Vauxhall Opel makes from the Autobahn Stormers Club
• East Coast Pirates Car Club (Sunday only)
• A vintage Austin truck

Visitors can get a taste of Formula 1 track action and pit crew skills with a F1 driving simulator and wheel and spark plug changing have-a-go challenges. You can also enjoy a brilliant start to a summer of cycling with HA Fox cycle challenge. HA Fox will also be bringing a range of Jaguars and Land Rover vehicles.

Visitors can ride in vintage style between the town and seafront display areas in a classic 1959 Spratts coach and enjoy a heritage guided tour to the town during their journey.

NEXUS Engineering Training Centre will be here over the weekend for all those budding engineers.

Admission to the event which will mainly be found near Britannia Pier, Anchor Gardens and the Sea Life Centre Gardens is free.

The event is brought to you by Greater Yarmouth Tourism and Business Improvement Area Ltd with support from Joyland and Great Yarmouth Borough Council.
