CarFest South – Friday 27th/Sunday 29th August 2013

C4R-FEST South 2013 delivers music, cars, food and sunshine!

What a terrific weekend and thanks again to Belinda, Vanessa & Clive, Clair & Colin, Diane & James, Maggie & Gerry and Karen & Family who kindly provided their Figaros to display for the duration of the show. The event was attended by 32,000 people. Our display attracted a good level of interest with the normal questions. The club leaflets and information board proved a hit.

As well as the cars and the music there was so much entertainment stuffed into the festival weekend. From air displays and digger dancing, Bug Shows and bread making classes the event had family entrainment covered! Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood judged the cakes and pies on the Sunday evening which was divided into categories for children, grown-ups and professionals. In the air was Abarth Extra 330SC, Vulcan Bomber and The Red Arrows!

Music was supplied by Bjorn Again, The Wurzels, Keane, Ocean Colour Scene, Alfie Boe, Reef, Blurb, Rockaoke, Jools Holland, Amy Macdonald, Scouting for girls, Ultimate Eagles and Renee & Sinatro. The event attracted some of the worlds most expensive cars, in fact it was rumored that the value of the display cars was in around 25 Million Dollars!  The event also featured a stretched hill climb with some tricky turns to entertain drivers and spectators alike. The cars roared up the new, extended hill in groups of 7 with Chris Evens leading the charge in his new and improved 2013 line-up.
